After a long week your skin can start to show the effects of everyday life. Late nights, early starts, long commutes and caffeine fuelled mornings.
Everyone knows how important it is to get enough sleep for your body to fully function. But the effects of a late night can also leave your skin looking and feeling dry, dull, lifeless and in need of some TLC.
We’ve collated some top-tips to help you get back to your beautiful self and rejuvenate tired skin.
Cleanse your make-up away
Thoroughly remove your make-up before going to bed and avoid the skin sin of sleeping with yesterday’s face on. Cleansing your skin will add hydration and remove product clogged in your pores. Just wash your face with warm water first and massage your preferred cleanser into your skin. Then, wash off the residue and dry with a clean, dry towel or cloth.
Reducing the puffiness
Having puffy eyes is the stand out tell-tale sign of lack of sleep. If you don’t have any cleansing beauty eye masks or specific products which target your eyes, a cold compress or flannel is an easy solution to reducing the tension around your eyes, reducing any inflammation. And, if you’re feeling really fancy, add some cucumber slices on your eyes after and imagine you’re in a relaxing spa.
Face it, don’t mask it
Instead of using make up to try and mask the circles under your eyes, tackle and cure it with a face mask. With an endless choice on the market, it can be difficult to find a mask which targets all the effects of a lack of sleep can bring to skin. Our Mega Moisture Face Mask was made for this. With the combination of Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid and Marine Collagen, the mask is filled with antioxidants to replace moisture and helps provide deep hydration to skin in just 10 minutes. Perfect for a relaxing Sunday or a quick fix before you go to work.
On a weekday this might be a tough one, but try to avoid caffeine fuelled drinks, and stick to drinks which are full of nutrients. Your skin will feel this benefit. Water is of course vital, but if you need something with a bit more zest why not try coconut water? Your body needs it – trust us!
